Cardinals name 10-man practice squad

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona Cardinals have assembled their 10-man practice squad, and it’s a mix of current players and new players.

Here’s the list of players:

Bostick (6-3, 250) spent the last three years with the Green Bay Packers, after signing as a rookie free agent from Newberry in 2012. Bostick spent his rookie season on the practice squad, and then played in 24 games with the Packers over the past two seasons. He had nine receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns in his two seasons in Green Bay before he was waived in February, and claimed by the Minnesota Vikings. He stayed with Minnesota throughout training camp, but was released on Aug. 30.

McFadden (5-10, 190) played in seven games with the San Francisco 49ers last season, and had five tackles after coming on with them in November. McFadden entered the NFL with the Cleveland Browns as a third-round selection (68th overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft out of San Diego State. As a rookie, McFadden played in 16 games (two starts), and had 16 tackles and one pass defensed with the Browns.

Nelson (5-9, 175) played his college ball at Arizona State before he signed with the Browns as an undrafted rookie free agent last year. Nelson played in seven games with Cleveland last season. With the Sun Devils, Nelson had 73 tackles and nine interceptions in 27 games during his two seasons. He began his collegiate career at Louisiana-Monroe before transferring to ASU.

Okoye (6-6, 304) comes to the Cardinals from the 49ers, where he spend all of last season on the practice squad after spending the entire 2013 season on injured reserve. A British Olympian and record holder in the discus, Okoye is a former rugby player who had prior football experience before signing with San Francisco in 2013. A native of Croydon, England, Okoye competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics before he began his football career.
