TEMPE, Ariz. — Todd Graham met with the media after Thursday’s practice and talked about Bryce Perkins’ injury, physicality, and a lot more. Graham went into detail about what the team missed when Armand Perry went down with an injury last season. He said that losing Perry, a free safety, was like losing a quarterback on offense. He also touched on the tight ends and the young offensive line. With an inexperienced offensive line, the tight ends will have to help in different blocking schemes.
Graham also talked about defensive linemen, JoJo Wicker and Koron Crump. Wicker, the 6’3″ sophomore, got a lot of playing time last season and finished the year with 21 total tackles and 4 sacks. Graham said that he loves Wicker’s energy but he still has to work on his fundamentals. Koron Crump is a junior college transfer has a lot to learn according to his head coach, but can be a very dangerous weapon rushing the quarterback.
