ONE FINAL SIX PACK OF NFL DRAFT KNOWLEDGE

*THE NFC WEST DID NOT RECEIVE MANY ELITE GRADES FROM THE DRAFT EVALUATORS: Frequent Sports Zone guest Eric Edholm of Yahoo Sports graded the Cardinals a best in the division C grade. Edholm gave the 49ers a C+, the Rams and Seahawks C- … USA Today’s Nate Davis, another frequent Sports Zone guest, went Rams B+, 49ers B, Cardinals B and Seahawks C-.
*THE CARDINALS SECOND ROUND SELECTION OF RONDALE MOORE HAS BEEN WELL DECEIVED: Included in the praise was USA Today’s Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz who included Moore among his biggest draft steals. Moore was the lone NFC West selection of the 15 players on the list.
*AN ARIZONA HIGH SCHOOL PRODUCT WAS ON A LIST OF BEST UNDRAFTED PLAYERS: Tight end Matt Bushman was included on another list by Middlehurst-Schwartz. Bushman would have been drafted had he not missed his final season at BYU because of a torn ACL. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Raiders.
*OFFENSIVE DOMINATED THE FIRST THREE ROUNDS: Never during the modern draft era (1967) had there been as many quarterbacks (eight) or offensive tackles (14) selected during the first three rounds. Also, a total of 15 receivers over the first three rounds was the fourth most since 1967.
*NICK SABAN HAS DOMINATED IN MANY WAYS SINCE ARRIVING AT ALABAMA: Starting with the 2008 draft, 106 Saban players have been selected with LSU second with 96 and The Ohio State University third with 91.
*ALABAMA AND OHIO STATE EACH HAD 10 PLAYERS DRAFTED LAST WEEK: Georgia and Notre Dame were next with nine while Florida and Michigan each had eight.
