*CARDINALS 23, SEAHAWKS 13: The Cardinals not only completed a 2021 sweep on the NFC West road, they moved to 6-0 on the road overall and won for six time over the last nine years in Seattle.
*THE CARDINALS MOVED BACK TO THE #1 SEED IN THE NFC: On Sunday, the Packers lost a conference and division game at Minnesota and the Cowboys, who entered today leading the league in scoring, failed to score a touchdown at Kansas City.
*THE CARDINALS DOMINATED TIME OF POSSESSION BECAUSE THEY RULED THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE: The final time tally was 40:22 with 29 first downs. The Cardinals three touchdown drives alone accumulated 39 plays for 251 yards and 20 minutes and 43 seconds. The drives were 16 plays, 82 yards in 9:27 – 13 plays, 92 yards in 6:31 – and 10 plays, 67 yards in 4:45 … FYI – By the way, the Seahawks entered today with the fewest offensive snaps in the NFL and 32nd in time of possession.
*COLT MCCOY EFFICIENCY EXECUTED KLIFF KINGSBURY’S BRILLIANT PLAN: McCoy completed 35 of 44 passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns to Zach Ertz with zero interceptions. Kingsbury played to McCoy’s short passing accuracy with the longest completion 31 yards and just two more than 20 yards.
*KEEP THIS IN MIND LOOKING AHEAD: The dynamic Rondale Moore was the kickoff returner instead of Eno Benjamin after the Seahawks touchdown which narrowed the score to 16-13. Moore returned that kick to the 33-yard line. Hopefully, the Cardinals have been saving Moore for that role during the second half.
` *THE SEAHAWKS ARE FINISHED, AND MAYBE NOT FOR JUST THIS YEAR: Russell Wilson, now a loser for the first time in three straight games as a starting quarterback, was obviously not 100 percent with multiple inaccurate throws to open receivers and the Seahawks have their lowest talent level during the Pete Carroll era.
