*OREGON STATE 24, ARIZONA STATE 10: The Arizona State season continues to be dominated by disappointing moments, the latest another nationally televised road disaster.
*ASU WAS INEPT: It trailed 17-0 at halftime and the lone touchdown drive covered three yards following a muffed snap by the Oregon State punter. The embarrassing season-long false start issues on the road continued with seven more such infractions.
*ASU AND OSU ARE BOTH 7-4: That’s the only similarity. ASU is again a massive underachiever and possibly headed for NCAA jail. OSU has a rising program with optimism moving forward. ASU had many players missing because of injuries, but there is no excuse for the lifeless Saturday night performance.
*UP NEXT: ASU hosts the UA at 2 p.m. Saturday. The UA has won four straight in the series, including 3-0 with Herm Edwards.
*UTAH ELIMINATED ASU AND WON THE PAC 12 SOUTH EARLIER IN THE EVENING: The Utes routed Oregon 38-7 at Salt Lake City, leading 28-0 at halftime. The Ducks and the Pac 12 are out the College Football Playoff for another season.
*AROUND THE PAC 12 SOUTH: UCLA’s Chip Kelly finally beat USC as Dorian Thompson-Robinson passed for 349 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for two more scores with a 62-33 win.
