BOTTOMLINE
*THE SUNS WILL FINISH THE SERIES ON SUNDAY: The Suns unofficially won the series with tonight’s 37-point first quarter on 71 percent shooting. That immediately silenced the crowd of 17,000 that was all jacked up following the pre-game NBA MVP Trophy presentation to Nikola Jocic.
*THE THIRD QUARTER HAS BEEN A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN ALL THREE GAMMES: The Game Three difference was 31-21. In the series, the Suns have outscored the Nuggets 96-67 in the third quarter.
*CHRIS PAUL HAS CONTROLLLED THE PACE THE ENTIRE SERIES: He finished Game Three with 27 points, six rebounds, eight rebounds and two assists. In this series, Paul has 34 assists and three turnovers. In the Suns first nine playoff games, he has 80 assists and 12 turnovers.
*THE SUNS SHOOTING EFFICIENCY WAS EXTRAORDINARY: The Suns made 43 of 81 field goal attempts (53 percent), 12 of 26 from behind the arc (46 percent) and 18 of 20 from the charity strip (90 percent).
*DEFENSIVE REBOUNNDING WAS THE SUNS LONE ISSUE: The Nugget had 18 offensive rebounds.
*JOKIC NEEDS HELP: He finished with a triple-double (32 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists). The other four starters had 30 points, six rebounds and one assist.
