PHOENIX— The Arizona Rattlers and wide receiver Maurice Purify agree to terms for the upcoming 2016 Arena Football League (AFL) season on Thursday.

This will be his fourth season with the Rattlers and his sixth in the AFL. Purify had success in his first stint with the Rattlers, helping them achieve three-consecutive Arena Bowl championships from 2012-14. In the 2012 Arena Bowl, Purify caught seven touchdowns to help the Rattlers beat the Philadelphia Soul and was named the Offensive Player of the Game. He earned first team All-Arena honors that year as well.

Purify has always been a reliable guy for the organization,” General Manager and Head Coach Kevin Guy said. “He brings a different dimension to the receiving corp with his physicality and his ability to run after the catch.”

In three previous seasons with the Rattlers, Purify had 261 catches with 3,907 yards and 85 touchdowns.

Purify was a member of the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad in 2008 and again in 2009, and was released at the end of the 2009 season.

Purify rejoins the Rattlers after spending last season with the Arena Bowl champion San Jose SaberCats.
