NCAA TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP GAME ANALYSIS

BOTTOMLINE
*HEROES (TEAM) – KANSAS: In the second half of the last three wins, KU outscored Miami 47-15, Villanova 41-36 and North Carolina 47-29, a total of 135-80.
*HERO (PLAYER) – DAVID MCCORMACK: It’s a joke he was not named the Most Outstanding Player after his 15-point, 10-rebound performance that followed his 25 points and nine rebounds in Saturday’s win over Villanova. McCormack scored the final two field goals in the four-point win, yet somehow, teammate Ochai Agbaji (12 points, including three of eight from the charity stripe in the championship game) was the MOP.
*HERO AND ZERO (COACH) –  BILL SELF: His team deserved the victory, but this championship is tainted because of the NCAA questions within the program.
*ZEROS (TEAM) – NORTH CAROLINA: The Tar Heels blown lead of 16 was the largest ever in an NCAA Tournament Championship Game loss.
*ZERO (PLAYER) – CALEB LOVE AND R.J. DAVIS: The Carolina starting guards made just 10 of 41 field goal attempts, including 1 of 13 from behind the arc.
*ZERO (ANNOUNCER) – TRACY WOLFSON: Sideline reporting is not an easy gig, but her next insightful question might be her first.
