*HEROES (TEAM) – NORTH CAROLINA: The Tar Heels beat Mike Krzyzewski in his Cameron finale and ended his career in the Final Four with an 81-77 win.
*HERO (PLAYER) – DAVID MCCORMACK: The oft-criticized Kansas center dominated with 25 points (on 10 of 12 from the field and five of six from the free throw line) plus nine rebounds.
*HERO (COACH) –  BILL SELF: The Jayhawks will take a 10-game winning streak into Monday’s championship game. Also, his team is 25-0 when holding their opponents to 70 points or fewer.
*ZEROS (TEAM) –  VILLANOVA: The Wildcats failed to give themselves a chance, starting down 10-0. At no point did anyone with an objective mind think they were going to win.
*ZERO (PLAYER) – JERMAINE SAMUELS: Last week’s South Regional Most Outstanding Player was Villanova’s fourth leading scorer in the 81-65 loss to Kansas, finishing with nine points on just eight field goal attempts and was a minus 22 point differential during his 33:00.
*ZERO (COACH) – MIKE KRZYZEWSKI: He had some excellent coaching moments the last two weeks, but how could he not try some zone defense in the second half when North Carolina was getting to the rim at will? CBS/TBS should be embarrassed that Tracy Wolfson failed to ask Coach K in the post-game why he didn’t try some zone.
