AROUND THE NFL

*THE JAGUARS LOOKED INTO SIGNING ALEX SMITH: That would have meant a Smith reunion with his former Utah head coach Urban Meyer, but the Jags medical rejected the possibility.
*KYLE PITTS SHOULD BE THE FIRST RECEIVER SELECTED: At Florida in 2020, Pitts caught 43 passes for 12 touchdowns and zero drops. Also, just four of his receptions were NOT a touchdown or first down.
*THE COLTS ARE CONTEMPLATING A SIGNIFICANT OFFENSIVE LINE CHANGE: If they don’t add a left tackle in the draft, look for them to move All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson to the outside.
*THE BROWNS CUT SHELDON RICHARDSON LAST WEEK: However, they want to bring back the veteran defensive lineman at a lower salary.
*THE BEARS ARE EXPECTED TO CUT WIDE RECEIVER ANTHONY MILLER: They recently signed Marquise Goodwin who is expected to take Miller’s receiver spot and replace Cordarrelle Patterson at kick returner.
*BRYCE LOVE SEEMED ALMOST CERTAIN TO BE A PRODUCTIVE NFL RUNNING BACK: But, Love, after years of injuries at Stanford and the NFL, was recently cut by The Washington Football Team.
