TEMPE, Ariz. — Deputy head coach/Offensive coordinator Mike Norvell met with the media to review ASU’s victory over the rival Wildcats and the upcoming contest with Cal. Norvell spoke about Jalen Harvey’s breakout game. Harvey, a redshirt freshman, missed a lot of time due to a preseason injury but exploded onto the scene against Arizona with a 41 yard touchdown catch. Norvell said that Harvey would have been a part of the receiver rotation if he hadn’t suffered the collarbone injury.
Norvell also talked about the vertical passing game that had been lacking in previous games. Bercovici connected on three passes of over 40 yards against the Wildcats with two going for touchdowns. The Sun Devils will take on a Cal team that gives up an average of 452 yards per game. The Bears also surrender almost 200 yards on the ground per contest and 4.7 yards per carry which should bode well for Kalen Ballage and Demario Richard.
